Colombian department Casanara
Casanare is one of the 32 departments of Colombia, one of the largest in area (44,490 km ²), representing 3.9% of national territory and 17.55% of the Colombian Orinoco.
The department's territory extends into the eastern foothills of the Cordillera Oriental of the Colombian Andes. It belongs to the Eastern Plains region with all the features that identify it. The average height is 350 meters above sea level with an average temperature of 26° C.
The distance between the provincial capital, Yopal, and the capital of Colombia, Bogotá, is 387 km. It offers many tourist attractions and in particular regarding ecotourism. Include sites such as el Caño Aguaclara, el Parque Ecológico Caño Arietes, the River Upía and the Museum of del Hombre Llanero, among many others.
